Intersection - Where faith & family meet

During the Adult Gathering, our age-appropriate children's classes are held in the Intersection, just past the cafe, for kids ages birth-6th grade. Register your kids at the computer check-in stations. Print your name tags and pick up slip. Be sure to leave your cell phone number in case your child needs you during the morning. Intersection classrooms are fun, safe environments created just for kids.

Birth - Kindergarten

In our infant through Kindergarten environments, we built our program on three key truths:

  • God made you.
  • God loves you.
  • Jesus wants to be your friend.

We believe that these truths will make a difference for each child who learns them, when they are 12, when they are 30, and for the rest of their lives. Each volunteer is given a background check and children are checked in and out. Our desire is to create a safe environment where we can partner with parents as they strive to raise devoted followers of Christ by providing age-appropriate experiences, lessons, and resources.

  • Birth - Walking

For our youngest children, kind volunteers are ready to pull up a rocking chair, play in the mirror or build a block tower. And if your child needs you for any reason, we'll page you. For children who need it, bring a small diaper bag labeled with your child's name. You may also pack premixed bottles and pacifiers as needed, labeled with your child's name.

  • Walking - 2 1/2 years

Our youngest classrooms are based on milestones so you determine when your child is ready to move up to the next environment. Our Toddlers room is full of hands-on play, an indoor slide and a short lesson right-sized for these curious kids.

  • 2 - 3 years

Our preschoolers who are able to sit for short periods will enjoy a lesson, craft and play time in the Wonder Clubhouse. From our puppet theater to our basketball hoop, there's lots of toys to keep this room fun. Each lesson is accompanied by small crafts and activities to reinforce the day's theme.

  • 4 - Kindergarten

From 4 years to their first year of school, this class engages young learners by combining a video lesson from Ollie the owl and a themed craft with play time. Your child will practice their emerging skills while learning more about God, making friends and enjoying play time.

School-aged Classrooms

  • Kidmo (Grades 1-3)

This class caters to young elementary kids and all their energy! What better way to introduce the Bible and scriptures than with dancing, singing and videos? In Kidmo, learn Christian principals in a way that is so entertaining, you can’t wait to share your experience. Meet new friends playing together before class and teaming up during the video challenges. You even get to dive into the treasure chest and pick out a reward for your hard work. We look forward to introducing your children to an experience that will stay with them for a lifetime.

  • Club 456 (Grades 4 - 6)

Our 4th, 5th and 6th graders attend adult worship as a group (look for them in the front-left of the auditorium). Once the singing is over, walk back to the 456 classroom for your own teaching time. It will always be silly, you may eat snacks, and you will definitely learn Bible-based strategies that you will be able to apply in your own personal life.

How should I prepare my kids?

Each Sunday, you will need to check your child into Intersection Children's Ministry. Parents will be asked to Check-In on the computer and print out a name tag* for your child and a claim tag for parents to present at Check-Out. You can include your child’s name, as well as pager information for younger children. If you are bringing a diaper bag, bottle, cup or other personal items that need a label, feel free to print extras.

From there you will walk your child to their age-specific classroom. When you return at the end of service you will Check-Out your child by signing them out and then handing the claim tag to the teacher.

Thank you so much for helping us as we strive to make Intersection a safe environment for your kids to learn about God.

*4-6 Graders - check in on the computer, but you don't need to print a name tag. We know you're too old for that! Then, you can sit with your parents or with other students in the auditorium. We will walk back to our classroom together after the songs. At the end of our gathering, you don't need to Check-Out; we know you can find your parents.
